Description
FREEZE Refrigerant R152A Gas 10kg
R-152a (1,1-Difluoroethane) refrigerant gas freezes at approximately -117°C (-178.6°F) at atmospheric pressure. R-152a is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) with a normal boiling point of around -24°C (-11.2°F), making it a gas at ambient temperatures. It has a very low freezing point, which means it remains a fluid (or can be used in systems as such) at extremely cold operational temperatures, making it suitable for various refrigeration and low-temperature applications, including some freeze-drying processes. Key properties of R-152a: Environmental Profile: It has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a low global warming potential (GWP) compared to older refrigerants like R-134a. It is also widely used as an aerosol propellant and in some specialty freeze sprays that instantly reach temperatures of about -50°C to -60°C for applications such as cryostat sectioning or cooling electronic components. |
